Little Life Updates

My camera is lame and wont upload its pictures onto the computer and so I have not blogged because pictures are what makes a blog fun (in my own opinion) but I thought I would stop in and give a quick update to the world

I have been crazy busy between moving into, painting and re decorating a new room! Planning showers and weddings. And working like crazy… the part I don’t like, boo!

I am excited to show you the before and afters of the room. The fun pictures from all our Hume trips to throw parties and hang out with friends. And maybe share some BIG news… I still haven’t decided how much is okay to share via the web. You know all the crazies out there ;-) teehee

Things in the Lilley family are still in complete crazy mode but hopefully over the summer answers will come and by fall things will be settling down, or vamping up, however you want to see it. For me personally vamping up will be more like it!

But as said before without pictures this will get old fast so Im going to peace out now with this simple thought….

Welcome New Family Members!

Well as some of you might have heard the Lilley family is growing again! It's a fun exciting time in all our lives as we are trying to figure out where God wants us and what we are supposed to be doing. But we wouldn't be the Lilleys if we dint have eighty things happening at one time and so Erin added some joy to our lives and married this guy! I mean really whats not to love!?!Haha Dustin is wonderful and they clearly love each other. I'm so excited to watch them learn and grow together through life, I know they are going to do great! And I love that our family just keeps getting bigger and bigger, you can't ever have to many people in a family when we all love each other so much. So welcome Dustin we are so happy to have you in our family.

But Mr. & Mrs. Schlegel thought our family should grow just a bit more and so we are also awaiting the arrival of this littler person! (What ever it might be)I know I have said it before but my family has to be the greatest thing that ever happened. I love watching everyone pull together and love on each other when life gets hard, and in times of joy. This is definitely a time of joy in the Lilley family, we have an awesome God who loves us and knows exactly what he is doing in each of our lives (Even when none of us have a clue) and he is constantly bringing blessing into our lives. Life is good <3

Congratulations Schlegels!

A time for greiving.

Spring time for me is a reminded of how short life is. How quickly life changes, in a breath, in a heartbeat, in a second everything can change. I often envy those people who have never lost someone close to them. I cant imagine how wonderful it must feel to not have that grief forever written on your heart.
I am grateful that I have a God who is caring and gracious who carries so much of these burdens for me. I’m glad I have hope in the Lord and that I will see some of those precious people again some day. But in the days I have left here on earth I will miss them. I will question why they were taken so soon, too soon. There was so much potential and life left in these wonderful people, and God saw it was time to bring them home to him.
I am in the middle of four months filled with anniversaries of loss. A couple nights ago I was looking back at some old memories with those people. I’m not sure if it ever does get easier, or if we just learn to cope with the pain. Whatever it is, today I feel heavy hearted and sad. I trust that Gods hand is over even this, but it still hurts to say good bye to someone you love.

We do not own the people in our lives. They are with us for a little while and then they are gone. But when they are gone do not grieve for the times you shall miss, rejoice in all the times you had.

8 Months ago...

I was sitting here tonight and realised that eight months ago today I was spending my last night as a single woman! While I loved those days and had some amazing family and friends to get me through them, I wouldn't go back for anything. It was such a wonderful day with all the people I love the most, so excited to start our new stage of life together. We had no idea what we were getting into!Our wedding day was such a blessing and happy memory that I often think back on. I love looking at the pictures and remembering how perfect everything was, but more then that I love looking forward at whats to come. Before we got married a lot of people warned us marriage wasn't what we thought it would be, still wonderful, but different. We wouldn't agree, it's exactly what we thought it would be, AWSOME! Life on the other hand, as it's so good at doing, went in a different direction then we expected, but isn't that what we should expect;-) I have the most wonderful husband who has continued to amaze me in the gentle respectful way he leads, provides for and loves me. I love him more today then ever and am so excited to see what other plans God has for us and our future. Our life is just barley starting so I know there is a lot ahead of us but I dont mind knowing I get to face whatever it is good or bad with Cody at my side. Here's to the greatest eight months of my life and to hundreds more to come<3

Graduation pictures. All of these are such a wonderful reminder that even in the hard times in life Gods hand is on all stages of your life. Looking back every step was exactly what we needed to get to today :-)

Some Fun

Well it's been a while since I was posting so I missed a ton, instead of posting a million things here are some quick pics of life the past few months from most recent first :-) 

Tiffany came to visit me (again) we are now the two red heads and had a wonderful weekend of greys and cleaning :-P I love this girly

Fun time at the dog park with the Mooney family :-) We take the dogs here a lot and they have a blast! Sam (sitting on Robins lap) is a little boy Cameron works with and he LOVES the dog park and always asks Cameron to take him there :-)

Heehee oh the faces of trauma! Our last weekend at Hume brought out some weird emotions in us all, apparently pirate emotions lol

Anna & Nathan brought there family for a visit for a couple days and we had a great time going to the beach and whale watching. We also took a ride on the quad that Gabe loved and Gwen wasn't to sure about. What a sweet little family

And Tiffany came again... haha we happen to be beautiful at all times of the day!

A Day Trip

We LOVE to travel and go places together. I can't think of anything better then getting to explore some place new with my man, this past weekend with both our schedules all mixed around we ended up having Monday off and took the opportunity to spend a day exploring together. 

We decided to drive north up the coast and ended up spending a wonderful day in Santa Barbara. 

We started out at the zoo! I love animals and my husband knows it, he was sweet to take me here. If you have been to this zoo you know it's smaller which was nice because it was a great way to spend our morning but it didn't take up our whole day.

I won't show you pictures of ALL the animals, but this guy was my favorite! He is a Gibbon and I watched him for like an hour :-) I have always like the big cats the best (Mostly tigers) but man was this a funny little guy. I wanted to hold him, but I'm sure up close he is a stinker :-S

We spent a lot of time shopping state street, we both got something fun to take home. Cody bought me some beautiful jewelry and got himself a new water bottle. Doesn't sound to fun to me but he was pleased :-) And of course we got an ornament for our tree to remember our day in Santa Barbara. At the end of the day we walked the Pier and we got attacked by the wind! We almost blew away! 

It was such a fun romantic and relaxing trip. I'm so blessed to have a husband who loves spending time with me, and who I can't seem to get enough of. I love you husband <3
