Application appliation

I'm sitting around filling out application after application and I need a break! I have applied for everything from restaurants to receptionist jobs to Lowe's! (or as my darling fiance calls it lulls;-) I could just bite him sometimes! Anyways I have to go get a life scan today to work at the Cal Psych place but I wont get enough hours working for them, blah. And I have yet to hear back from anyone else so todays job on top of filling out yet more applications is to call all the places I applied to "check on" my applications and let them know how interested I really am! Haha. Oh well I have something to look forward to, Cody just told me we are going to the fair on Saturday! Yeah for bull riding and Sarah Evans! I'm very excited about this:-) Anyways I'm a total stealer (sorry Heather!) But it put me in the mood to do my own pros and cons list...have not done one in a while:-)

Pros
- I was able to work one more week which gives me easy use of a computer to fill out hundreds of applications
- My Fiance is pretty much the greatest thing ever (even when he scares me so bad I cry!)
- I had some tea and wrote thank you cards this morning which was both relaxing and productive!
- I have an amazing God who I know will take care of all things if I trust in him
- And I found really cute hand towels last night at TJ Max for super cheap!

Cons
- Still have not found a job...or heard back from most places
- I'm not doing very good on eating right and working out. I had six months and I still look the same! LAME!
- I can't find my resume which makes it hard to fill out some applications!
- My house is filled with box's is laundry that I need t deal with....
- And my nail polish is cracking on my fingers and I just got them done Saturday! haha

Okay so life isn't so bad:-) Cody's at work tonight so i should get a lot done! Now off to do more applications! If you hear of any great jobs with okay pay and full time hours PLEASE let me know! Okay later everyone!

My Katie Girl

Katie…My silly little Katie girl. Like me and Tiffany, Katie and I have known each other sine we were very young. Only a couple months old! Unlike me and Tiffany even the fact our parents were friends was not enough to make us friends from the start. Me and Katie really became friends in 6th grade…oh the 6th grade! To tighten our friendship for life and bring us even closer I started going to the Hume school in 7th grade and from then on we were inseparable! I can recall countless afternoons of watching even Stevens and eating rice with soy sauce and nori. Or weekend to grandmas in Monterey and rollerblading n the pier. Trying to turn our walkmans on at the same time so we could walk around camp listening to the same plus one songs at the same time:-) Katie is my silly friend who swooned over guys with me and obsessed over Brad Pitt and Leonardo DeCaprio. Who spent so many hours making up dance routines and filming ourselves than doing our homework. She is my….

My Tiffany

Tiffany Ann is a friend who I have had since I was three weeks and three days old! Our parents were friends and our siblings as well. It was inevitable that we would be friends. The fact that we were born and raised at Hume Lake made it inevitable that we would stay friends because we had no one else to be friends with. Thankful God took care of us and made our personalities perfect for each other! I have never even found someone who could come close to my Tiffany. We share more memories, secrets and life than I think with any other person in our lives besides our family members…no in fact maybe even more than them! I remember a cold winter day at Hume a long time ago when me and Tiffany were wondering around camp. We found a tube of “Putty” and started playing with it. It was a lot of fun at first until it started to harden on our little hands and cloths. We started trying to wash it off in the river…it only got harder. We thought maybe it was freezing so we ran to the bathroom and ran warm water over our hands but to no avail…this stuff wouldn’t come off! We panicked and returned home afraid of what our parents might say. They asked what it was we were playing with and asked us to go back for the tube of paste, mind you our hands are still covered n this now hardened plaster. When we brought the tube home I can clearly remember Tiffany’s dad practically collapsing in a fit of laughter….we had been playing with water proof boat glue! It wasn’t the last time we got into rough situations together, but whether it was glue or hot dog huts we made it through everything side by side. We braved 5 summers working along side each other, understanding the need to not really bond with the summer staff because they would just leave. Besides we didn’t need them, we had each other:-)
Tiffany is…

The best kind of friends

Well after being criticized for blogging about my tv FRIENDS, and not the real and meaningful people in my life;-) I decided that maybe I should blog about the three most wonderful ladies (not including my family of course) Who have come into m ylife, whether it was 3 months and 3 days after I was born or just a week before I turned 18...these wonderful girlie's mean the world to me. They are the kind of people I can be completely real in front of whatever that might mean, and who with all their differences are each perfect in their own way! To talk about them all would take a long time so for today's post lets just talk about Sarah....Wonderful crazy Sarah Trout!

- The funny person who came out of no where on a very cold and wet new years weekend and listened to me complain about not having shoes while watching kids (kinda ironic!)..

- Who comes to my school to have complete grunge days with me

- And spends days with me at Disney Land, finding out that the whole world thinks Im having a baby (really smooth Missy)

- The person I can be completely real with, about anything!

- The person my boyfriend will buy a GPS for to make sure she can find me when I move far away because he knows how much I need her

- The person who I always get lost with, or for, when my phone is about to die

- The person who sits with me eating icing out of the carton with spoons and realizing that life sometimes sucks!

- The person I would write on paper plates for

- The person who I call because Im in tears over a box of pens

- The person I take with me to try on dresses, because I know she will be honest with me if it sucks

- The person who always seems to be ordering something when we are on the
phone

- The person who I will call because Im making cupcakes

- The person I will call because Im that soccer mom in the drive through getting her coffee because the three boys in the back seat, as cute as they are, are driving me CRAZY!

- The person I will call when my husband leaves me home alone for days and I watched to much CSI and cant sleep

- The person who will always be apart of everything in my life

- The person who maybe waited until I was eighteen to show up, but I know will still be there who I am fifty

- The person who has blessed my life more than I could ever express.

- The friend who just happened to be perfect for me!
I love you crazy crazy girl and love that your apart of my life!

My Friend's

Recently I have been re united with some of my favorite friends! Do to the lack of a DVD player in my previous home I rarely had the opportunity for these lovely people. Now that I have moved into our new home (DVD player equipped) And have plenty of projects to work on that involve sitting still as you work on them, and I have re discovered my love for these six magnificent people...yes it's true I'm talking about FRIENDS of course. I sometimes wonder if our neighbors don't think I have gone crazy. My mother in law likes to com pair me to her four year old watching sponge bob. But I honestly can not help myself...I have to laugh! It doesn't matter how many times I have seen the episodes (which is a lot!) I love them! And how couldn't I?

I Can Cook!

I happen to be getting married to a man who loves to cook. Not from recipes but just making it up as he goes and...it always tastes amazing! I on the other hand can cook a few select things and to be honest it's nothing that impressive. Cody worked a day car yesterday and asked if I wanted to make him dinner and have it ready when he got home...No I thought. I don't want to do that I don't know how to cook! But figuring I had to start some place so I agreed. I pulled out the cookbooks and started looking for the perfect thing...It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. Everything called for 8 different spices. And seeing as I just moved in spices is something I am lacking in greatly besides the garlic salt that Witch brought us...every home needs that:-) This was not going to be much fun at all. I resorted to the only thing I knew I couldn’t go wrong with, Mexican Food! Cody loves Mexican and so I headed to the store and went home and cooked! I made tostadas… very impressive isn’t it? Chicken tostadas, and I didn’t even cook the chicken but…he was happy and said it tasted good! When he finally got there almost at ten after his car breaking down and getting pulled over. Anyways point being, it was a fun night together and I proved that even if I can’t really cook…
I can make a pretty yummy meal:-)

The RED Wall

Alright...well this is not a good picture at all. I was laying in bed and looking at the mess from our weekend and took this picture but...it does show the red wall. What you can not see is that the three other walls are gray! Actually you can kinda see it n the mirror! teehee It's hard taking pictures of room, mostly when they are small. My wonderful Fiance chose this color for our room. He has always wanted a red wall and I would say that he definitly got one!

Our Home!

Well one of the main reasons that everything has been so crazy these past weeks is due to the fact we have been moving into our home! Well I have been moving in, and Cody has been helping out with projects. The place was a MESS! I cleaned for a week straight and still am not finished. But we did get the walls painted...yes WE chose those colors:-) This past weekend Tiffany came down to help me with house things and wedding things to of course! This was a huge blessing right when I needed it the most. We ran all around working on projects nd shopping for shower dresses....we take any chance to buy new dresses! Haha and we got some cute ones! On Saturday evening I cooked my first meal in our home...nothing very impresive but it was yummy! We had Witcha and Beverly over as well. I look forward to a lot of nights with friends over for dinner and movies and just hanging out! And of course more weekends with Tiffany coming to visit! After dinner me and Tiffany worked until two in the morning on finishing the invitations for the wedding! I don't know what I would have done without her there to help me. We didn't even finish that night we just gave up! Haha Thankfully we had Friends on to keep us happy and awake. Our home is coming together so nice with all the help from our family and friends:-) I feel so excited and blessed to have such a wonderful space as our first home! And hey now Chase will come over ever Friday for dinner;-)

Erin Graduated!!

Well this spring my baby sister Erin graduated from highschool! I know I am growing up and getting older obveously but it seems weird she is done with school and talking about getting married! Sadly me and Anna couldn't make it to her graduation party, so instead we planned a girls day several weeks later when Erin would be in Sandiego. It was wonderful! We didn't have ny plans except to have fun and just enjoy being with Erin and doing what she wanted to do...She wanted to SHOP! We had a wonderful time just getting to visit and be together. I honestly love and cherish the fact that my sisters are my best friends! I know it seems like a no brainer but I watch other sisters who still bicker and argue and that never happens with us! We just love being together! We also love eating and did a lot of it through the day. We started the morning with starbucks of course and after we walked through the first mall (Yes there was more than one, three I believe!) We stopped and split a small Gelato because Anna and Erin had never had it. Erin chose Mango which is not my favorite by far but it sure was refreshing and bright! Than it was on to the next store...and the next! After hours more of shopping we stopped at the Cheesecake Factory and split some appertizers and dessert! White chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake of course! Erin got an alchoholic beverage;-) (kidding!) and it was nice to have a second off of our feet. We did plenty more shopping. Here I am with my wonderful little sister:-) I love how all of us our so differant and yet SOOO much a like! I cherish both these wonderful ladies so much and am very thankful that we had a chance to celibrate with Erin on her big exciting graduation and her new stage of life! I know she has been waiting for years for this time in her life and I'm so happy for her!

Happy Birthday Hallie!!!

Well I have some wonderful girl friends that have made since moving to Simi a little over a year ago. This girl is the best! And she had a birthday! We all went out to her house and had amazing dessert her dad made us. Angle food cake with fresh strawberries and homemade ice cream! Haha I ate way to much! There was also amazing lemon cup cakes and something else her dad made that reminded me of flaun...but he called it something else. It was a wonderful evening making new friends and hanging out with all the old one:-) I love the time I get with these girls and was glad I could be with Hallie on her wonderful 20th birthday! I love you Hallie! And...Alina dies her hair brown...ugh I want to do it now! teehee but I have to wait until after the wedding. I think it looks wonderful on her:-)

Way Behind!

I have so many things to blog about! Life has been so busy and crazy these past few weeks and I have not had time to share any of it with you! So lets start back all the way in JUNE! Ahhh haha the weekend after Fathers Day we headed t Hume to spend time with my daddy. The whole family came (Except nathan who had t stay in his training;-() We had a wonderful weekend mostly just playing with all the babies! We took them on huge adventures, and then took them "swimming" in grandmas huge bath tub. On one of our big adventures me Gabe and Northy found a feild full of lady bugs! We had so much fun getting them to crawl on our fingers. I was helping when North started exclaiming excitedly that he "Got one, I got one!" I turned to see a masive bumble bee crawling on his little hand! He was so proud, I didn't want to reck all his fun so instead of freaking out I reached over and just flicked the masive bee of his finger. North looked at me with shock than at the bee madly flying away. he hung his little head and said "Oh" I felt bad for taking away his prize. I explained that those bees would hurt you. gabriel started protesting "It wont get you. It wont get you" Haha I love little boys. On Saturday evening the rest of the family headed off to the West wedding. Me and Cody offered to stay home with all the kids so the parents could go and enjoy themselfs. We had a wonderful evening and Tiffany came to hang out with us and help (Gwen expecially liked this and clung to Tiffany most the night) We took them on another big adventure through the woods. As we climbed a hill I told the kids we were scaling the mountain. Great Mount...at this point I planned on adding a silly name but Avery looked at me and said Rushmore? We couldn't even believe it! What a smart little lady she is! Sadly this smart little lady got some heat rash from all our big adventures in the dun. After everyone ran around and watched movies, and everyone else was in bed sleeping sweet little Avery woke up rather upset and complaining that her body hurt all over. Sure enough she had heat rash all over her little arms and legs:-( After putting on some cooling lotion and calming her down a bit she decided the best thing for her would be a S'more. She reminds me so much of her mother:-) She put on her hood and pulled the blanket up over her lap and said, coke please? Haha we gave, how could you say no to that cute face? It wasn't long after that that she wanted to lay down on her couch. Cdy went in to check on her a little later and she was crying again and asked him to please not leav her alone! Ugh heart rencher. When it had been quit a while and Cody still had not come back I went looking for him and this what I found....Ahhhh I want to bite them both! The next day Mom and Dad left for their annaversary trip and me and Cody hung out with Nole and Heather and the kids some more...I take that back. Me and heather hung out with the kids while Nole Cody Dustin and kelee played some nerd board game (I don't know what it was but thats what THEY called it!) North was pretty worn out from out busy weekend and fell asleep watching Shrek 2. The kids chose Alice in Womderland but me and Heather didn't feel like watching that so we changed it! haha. It was an amazing weekend home with all of my favorite people! Including this person! Haha cute Tiffany!

Never a Boring Day

I got a call from my wonderful Fiancé this morning informing me that there is a lack of responsibility in the Inglewood police and fire departments. Why you ask? Because someone dared to threaten his life last night and attempted to stab him! It was a very good attempt and only missed Cody because he tried to move away and even than only missed by an inch or two. (Not even joking!)
They responded to just another TC call and when they arrived on the seen the gentleman, no lets call him a brute instead, was acting combative and fighting Cody and his partner as they tried to loud him onto a backboard, since he had just rolled his car. Normally in these situations They would use restraints and an officer would even ride along with them to the hospital to insure the EMTs safety. The fire department told him he couldn’t use the restraints (mistake number 1) and the police department didn’t ride along or follow them to the hospital as is the protocol. (Mistake number 2)
Cody decided to use several strap on the guy simply to keep him laying down on the way to the hospital and asked his partner to drive as quickly as possible even though they were not cleared to go code three (Mistake number 3) The man fought and screamed the whole way threatening to kill Cody all the way to the hospital. That’s not the surprising part, this is a daily occurrence for him.
As they pulled into the hospital parking lot Cody turned around to get his clip board from the front. As he turned back the patient had a knife and was slicing of the straps that had been holding him down to the gurney. Than quickly lunged at Cody who dove to the side and was just barley missed by the knife!
Thankfully God was in control of this situation and Cody’s partner not knowing what was going on opened the back of the ambulance at that second. Cody yelled to her to let her know he had a knife as the patient jumped out the back of the ambulance and tried to stab Bianca too! Cody, being the man that he is, wasn’t scared, no instead he was mad! You don’t try to stab him or his partner! He too jumped out the back of the ambulance and proceeded to chase the patient!
Finally PD arrived and not seeing the knife told the “brute” to drop his phone. They acted very calm until the man did in fact pull out a knife. They quickly pulled out their guns and started freaking out yelling at each other "he has a knife!" I imagine it was a bit comical to watch these men who typically act very tough suddenly start freaking out when they are the ones holding guns! Anyways, a couple of them where threatening to shoot when another cop decided it would work to just taze the guy. Geniuses I know.
Well in the mess of it all the only person the patient managed to stab was himself in the hand! So Cody got to go back over and re fix this guy up and bring him into the hospital. Obviously everyone had a lot of question on how this could have happened. When they started asking around about why the guy had a knife at all the cops said they had confiscated that knife at the first TC seen. Apparently someone was nice enough to give it back to him because he definitely had it!
Cody is now questioning why he doesn’t get paid more? Minimum wage just doesn’t seem like enough for nights like this! Haha he did express however that he was thankful he at least acted “man” about it and didn’t run away instead:-) I am thankful that he and his partner made it out okay, and that the man didn’t attack until they got to the parking lot or it would have left Cody in the back with a large angry man with a knife and no place for either of them to go. God protected him and I am soooo thankful!

I will admit that Cody's attack story is much more scary than mine, though I am still determind that woman ran me down in the parking lot on purpose! teehee. Thank you Jesus for keeping me on my toes and making my life always interesting!
